To recognize major achievements of RCC dam technology and highlight milestone projects, Chinese National Committee on Large Dams (CHINCOLD) and Spanish National Committee of Great Dams (SPANCOLD) jointly organized the appraisal of the 4th International Milestone RCC Dam Projects.
Assessed by expert panel, three projects gained 2/3 votes so that they are qualified to be awarded the International Milestone Project award. They are-“Huangdeng Hydropower Project” in China, "Oroville Spillways Recovery Project” in the United States and the “Upper Kalekoy Dam and HEPP” in Turkey.
According to the International Milestone Projects Award regulations, the projects to be awarded will be made available for public review for ten days.
This year, the projects will be available for public reviewing during
October 21-30, 2019.
If any organization or individual has any objection to the projects to be awarded, they must submit it in a formal written document to the reward department of CHINCOLD. The objection must be submitted within the publicity period and provide necessary supporting documents. If the objection is overdue or anonymous, it will not be accepted. If the name of the objector needs to be kept private, please indicate this in the objection documents.
