On March 9th local time, China Gezhouba Group Company Ltd., a subsidiary of Energy China, signed the Contract for Luassim Hydropower Station Supporting Power Transmission and Transformation Project with the Development Office of the Kwanza River Middle Reaches of Angolan Energy and Water Resources Ministry.

This project is located in Dundo City, North Ronda Province, Angola. It is a newly built power transmission and transformation supporting project for the repair and expansion of Luassim Hydropower Station. After the completion of this project, the transmission line will connect the Luassim Hydropower Station and the urban area of Dundo so as to meet the local community's demand for electrical energy.

At present, the total contract value of Angolan projects which are under construction by Gezhouba Group is more than six billion US dollars. These projects involve multiple fields such as energy, water, municipal engineering, port and shipping, housing construction and power transmission.
