Upon the invitation of Canadian Dam Association (CDA), Mr. Zhou Dabing, Vice President of CHINCOLD and President of China Society for Hydropower Engineering, led a delegation to Canada for visit from April 17 to 21, 2010. Dr. Jia Jinsheng, President of ICOLD, Vice President and Secretary General of CHINCOLD, and also Vice President of China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research (IWHR), Mr. Cui Yihao, Deputy Director of the Division of Research Management and Planning of IWHR, as well as Dr. Zheng Cuiying, Deputy Director of the Technical Department of CHINCOLD.

During their stay in Canada, the delegation held talks with Hydro-Quebec, and signed the Cooperation Framework Agreement between IWHR and Hydro-Québec. They also visited La Grande-2 Hydropower project and had a report on hydropower development of La Grande river basin.
