“World Declaration on Hydropower and Dams for African Sustainable Development”, initiated by ICOLD and joined by the World Energy Council, the African Union, UPDEA, ICID and IHA, was launched during ICOLD 80th Anniversary in 2008 in Paris. As one of national committees, Chinese National Committee on Large Dams (CHINCOLD) would like to contribute to promote the World Declaration and help African countries in water Resources and hydropower development.

 

CHINCOLD will organize a special technical tour for representatives of African ICOLD member countries during 1-7 November 2010. Lectures, project visit and discussion with experts and leaders from government, investors, designers, contractors, etc. will be arranged. The duration is one week. As part of the special tour, a round table meeting will be organized. Representatives from government, financial organizations, international contractors, etc. will be invited to join in and discuss topics related to water resources and hydropower development in Africa.
