The dam of Rialb finalised in March 2000 was an outstanding hydraulic work carried out in the late twenty century in Spain, not only for its measurements but also for the procedures and technology used on its construction. The construction was the last milestone of the numerous and ancient attempts of transferring the waters from River Segre to the plains of Urgell and La Segarra.

The project is owned by Ministry Environmnet. Confederación Hidrográfica del Ebro.
